War is easy to start but very difficult to conclude. After 77 years, WWII is not officially over yet, because Russia and Japan have not signed a peace treaty yet. Specifically, war should not be managed by amateurish politician such as Ukraine’s Zelenskiy. After nine months, the Ukraine war is hopelessly stagnated and Ukrainians around the country are shivering/perishing in the cold without electricity, running water and desperately need heat.

Of course, Zelenskiy and his staff stay in well protected bunkers and well supplied by donations from the west. Zelenskiy was TIME magazine’s 2022 “man of the year,” most likely because he stages TV talk show almost every night. Unfortunately, he does not know how to end the terrible war that is killing his fellow countrymen/women and destroying his nation day and night.

Lately, on a big TV screen Zelenskiy pushes G7 for winter Global Peace Summit on Monday, December 12, 2022. A major demand is that Russia’s withdrawal of all its troops from Ukraine (by December 25, 2022) and no territorial concessions on Kyiv’s part. Simply put, Zelenskiy demands turning the clock back to February 23, 2022, and as if the bloody war does not ever happen. Is he naïve or simply stupid?

Of course, G7 did not respond to his call for a global summit because G7 leaders understand that they do not have any capacity at all to organize any global summit for Ukraine.

It is also easy to understand or anticipate that Putin “slaps down Zelenskyy’s call for a troop withdrawal by “saying Ukraine must face ‘realities’ as Russia claims lands its forces don’t even control.”

It appears that the Ukraine war will drag on as long as Zelenskiy is in charge!

KYIV (Reuters) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy urged leaders of the Group of Seven nations on Monday to support his idea of convening a special Global Peace Summit in winter dedicated to bringing peace to his country.

The summit would be focused on the implementation of Kyiv’s 10-point peace plan that insists on, among other things, Russia’s withdrawal of all its troops from Ukraine and no territorial concessions on Kyiv’s part.

“I propose to convene a special summit – the Global Peace Formula Summit – to decide how and when we can implement the points of the Ukrainian peace formula,” Zelenskiy told the G7 heads, according to the transcript provided by his office.

“I suggest that you, like other conscientious states, show your leadership – in the implementation of the peace formula as a whole or its specific points.”

There was no immediate response from Moscow to the G7 meeting.

There are no peace talks and no end in sight to the conflict, the biggest in Europe since World War Two. Moscow describes its actions as a “special military operation” against security threats posed by its neighbour, while Ukraine and its Western allies call it an unprovoked, imperialist land grab.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has asked European countries to help Ukraine overcome the energy crisis caused by Russia’s bombing this winter. He named six priority needs.

Quote: “First. We require several categories of equipment: Transformers, equipment for restoring high-voltage networks, gas turbine and piston engines.

Second. At least until the end of this heating season in Ukraine, we require emergency support from the European energy system.

Third. Same as with the IAEA observation missions, which are agreed to be sent to all nuclear power plants in Ukraine, we call on the European Union to send special missions to critical energy infrastructure facilities that are involved in Ukraine’s energy supply and on which the stability of our entire region directly depends.

Fourth. We require support to purchase about 2 billion cubic metres of gas.

Fifth. Another practical result of this conference can be an agreement on financing a project for the purchase of LED lamps for Ukraine.
